In spring 2023, the town of Douarnanez in Finistère, decided to purchase a ROOG 150.60 disc overseeder to maintain its sports pitches.
We spoke to Fabrice Stephan, team leader at the Douardnenez sports grounds center of the town.
“By using the ROOG 150.60, we can keep resurfacing operations in-house and carry them out when necessary, despite the fact that some pitches are overused.”
The machine can be used to resurface 9 sports pitches, including 3 main pitches and 6 training pitches.
Operations are carried out 3 times a year, in March, June and October, in 2 criss-cross passes, with mixtures of ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass.
The machine will soon be used to create flower meadows on the town’s large grassed areas.
“After getting used with the machine, its settings, its use and maintenance proved to be very straightforward, meeting the town’s expectations in terms of results.”
